About Sakura Baton Twirlers

Grace in Motion. Strength in Spirit.

At Sakura Baton Twirlers, we are passionate about creating a positive environment where every athlete can learn, grow, and enjoy the sport of baton twirling.

We are honored to be the home club of 2026 Sport Manitoba Coach of the Year Tammy De Jong. Through the dedication of our coaches, athletes, and families, Sakura has grown into one of Manitoba's largest baton twirling programs.

Our athletes have had the opportunity to achieve success at many levels, including representing Canada at the 2025 Nations Cup and earning Provincial Championship titles. We are also proud to celebrate athletes such as Women to Watch recipients Hailey Tsitrin, Caitlyn De Jong, and Danika Huff, whose hard work and commitment continue to inspire others.

We welcome athletes of all ages, abilities, and experience levels. Whether someone is trying baton twirling for the first time or working toward national and international competition, our goal is to provide encouragement, quality coaching, and opportunities to reach their personal best.

Inspired by the sakura (cherry) blossom, we believe in growth, resilience, and celebrating each athlete's unique journey. Our coaching extends beyond developing skills on the floor. We strive to build confidence, discipline, friendships, and a lifelong love of learning.

At Sakura Baton Twirlers, we are grateful to be part of a community where athletes, families, and coaches support one another every step of the way.
